Frequently Asked Questions Q: Is it safe to make a Purchase Online with your site? A: Yes it is, we use VeriSign for your secure purchases. When you enter your personal information to make a purchase you will be taken to a Secure Site; you can recognize that the site is Secure by observing the URL on the Browser. The URL will begin with an https: Note the “s’ at the end of the http in the URL. Sharon’s Cookie Jars does not need, nor even want, your Credit Information. Your successful purchase is between you and your Credit Card Company. If successful, the Credit Card Company gives us their Name, i.e. Visa, MasterCard, American Express, PayPal or whoever. They, also, notify us that the purchase is satisfactory and we are safe to ship. Q: My order didn’t complete successfully; it ended with an error what’s the deal with that? A: We have found that most of the time this happens when the customer has entered the Billing Information incorrectly. The customer’s Credit Card Company rejects/declines the purchase because the Billing Address Information does not EXACTLY match the Billing Address on file at the Credit Card Issuer. Also, Sometimes the Credit Card Number is accidently entered incorrectly, or the Expiration date entered does not match the information held by the Credit Card Issuer. Calling the “800 Number” on the back of the card usually can resolve this issue. We are unaware that the customer has even tried-to make a purchase until the Credit Card Issuer notifies us that the purchase is Approved or is Rejected. Q: How do I make the Images Larger? A: When you have the image that you want to enlarge, click that image to make it larger; the image will pop up in the upper left of your monitor screen. You will note on the bottom right of the image that it reads 100%. Click on the arrow and you will be given the option to change the Percentage. I recommend that you select 150%; then put your cursor on the lower right of the frame and an arrow should pop-up pointing in both directions. Simply pull the arrow down and to the right at a 45 degree angle until the picture is expanded. Q: Can you tell me what my Cookie Jar is worth? A: No, Sorry, we are not able to, nor do we have the skills to appraise your cookie jar. There are some sites available online that can do this for you; but not us. If you go to Google and Search, without the quotes, on “cookie jar appraisal” there are many sites that claim the credentials to appraise. Q: I have a cookie jar that I want to sell. Do you want to buy it; or will you sell it for me? A: No, sorry, we are not interested in purchasing any more cookie jars; we would only like to sell some of these cookie jar treasures that we currently have. Q: I need to get my order right away; can I get it delivered quicker than the “Normal 5” working days? A: Yes, you can definitely get it sooner than the normal shipping times. UPS can fly it directly to you, but, for a substantially higher rate. If you do need it sooner, before you make your purchase contact us and we will contact UPS for a quote and we will pass that information on to you for your decision. Q: Are you a Dealer? A: We think of a dealer as someone who purchases quantities of products at a wholesale price and then offers them for sale at a retail price. So, no, we are not a dealer. We acquired our products one-at-a-time paying the going retail price for the products. We have collected too many now, and it is time to sell our collection of Cookie Jars one-at-a-time. Q: I have questions about the Shipping Policy, where do I get my questions answered? A: Click on the Tab labeled Terms; that should answer most of your questions. If it does not, please contact us by toll free telephone at 1-866-478-5870 or direct at (936) 365-3437 or via Email to Sales@sharonscookiejars.com Q: Do you have a Product Catalog? A: No, we sure don’t. In most cases we have Only a Quantity of One of each of the cookie jars. To publish a Catalog would require a new catalog on an almost daily basis. We rely on the accuracy of our site to display the cookie jars we have online for sale at that very instant. If you saw a cookie jar for sale yesterday, and it is not there today, it is sold; It is gone forever.
Q: What does MIB (Mint in Box) mean? Is that important? A: The Term Mint Condition may come from Coin Collectors; meaning the coin is in new condition, uncirculated. The same goes for cookie jars. And some collectors would also like to have the original box; like Toy Collectors would like to have the original box, if available. Q: What is meant by a Factory Flaw? A: Here is a sample quote that some Cookie Jar Manufacturers attached to their brand new still-in-the box cookie jars: “The irregularities in your cookie jar are characteristics of Handmade Ceramics adding to the jar’s beauty and uniqueness, and are in no way to be considered defective.” Q: What is meant by Book Value? A: We are using 6 different books that show the value of the cookie jar appraised by experts. The cookie jar books that we use are dated 2001 and earlier. Therefore, the value was accurate 7 or more years ago. In many cases the value today is much higher than we are stating.
